The Best Resources To Get Together, Stay Creative And Inspired

Imagine the current scenario playing out in a time or place where no internet would be available. Thankfully, this is not the case and we have to be grateful to the advances of technology for allowing communities to come together, support their members and keep the productivity wheels turning.

Here at Fabrik we're always looking for ways to support our members and, despite the bleak times the humanity is now facing, we are committed to assisting, any way we can, everyone to feel their most inspired and creative self.

We have compiled an exhaustive list of resources to help you connect with like-minded individuals and communities, advance your ambition and keep you busy while the world is at somewhat of a standstill.

Art

Granted, we can’t go out, but this doesn’t necessarily mean that we can’t enjoy a nice virtual walk in the museum or art performances. For instance, The Metropolitan Opera offers daily streams of classical masterpieces. Sit back and enjoy.
Google is also collaborating with the most prominent museums around the world to offer virtual tours. Here are some of our favorites.

Head straight to Google and indulge in a feast for the eyes and the mind.

In addition, Art Basel is regularly launching online viewing rooms for a fresh look in what’s trending in the contemporary world of art.
Last but not least, The Social Distancing Festival is a online museum specially set up for the Covid times, showcasing talent from all around the globe.

Something for the kids

There are online activities to keep your little ones entertained, too. There are a bunch of YouTube videos which offer virtual rides at Disneyland’s most coveted experiences; the Space Mountain ride in the Magic Kingdom, the classic It’s A Small World boat ride or even Peter Pan’s Flight. We admit it, we are hooked, too.
The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden also offers Home Safari Facebook livestreams. Get in, we’re going on a trip!

Professional Resources and Growth

Professional communities from around the globe were quick to come together and connect their members on a quest to foster stay-at-home networking and personal growth. Here are our favorites.

  • The Panel by Q&A: A Slack gathering of cultural leaders discussing the state of music and industry insights
  • While you're stuck at home, consider taking some time to review the book of a junior creative to help them navigate this weird industry.
  • Connect with Coffee at a Distance by We Are Next. Because quarantine shouldn’t prohibit you to talking to people who can advance your career.
  • Hows Work? with Esther Perel. In this new podcast, iconic couples therapist Esther Perel brings new perspective to the invisible forces that shape workplace connections, conflict and dynamics.

We will be back with more recommendations as we work to enrich our arsenal of online resources. If you have more online communities and activities to partake drop us a message on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. We’re listening. Till then… quarantine and chill!
